Privacy.
What this site collects, what it doesn't, and how to ask for any of it back.
What this site doesn't do
No tracking pixels. No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no Mixpanel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no Hotjar, no Microsoft Clarity. Nothing reports visits back to a third party.
No advertising cookies. Nothing remarkets to visitors after they leave.
No data sales. Orange County Design does not sell, rent, or trade contact information to anyone, ever.
What this site does collect
The contact form at /contact collects the information you choose to enter — name, email, business name, website, project type, budget range, timeline, and your message. Orange County Design uses this only to respond to the inquiry. The data is stored on infrastructure Orange County Design controls (no third-party CRM at intake) until a project either kicks off or is declined.
The hosting layer (Cloudflare and the origin server) records standard request logs — IP address, browser, page requested, timestamp. These logs exist for security, debugging, and abuse prevention. They are not joined to inquiry data and are rotated routinely.
If a project starts, the data needed to deliver the work — invoicing details, project files, account access where granted — is handled under whatever the signed engagement agreement specifies.
Cookies and similar
This site does not set first-party tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set technical cookies for security purposes (bot detection, rate limiting) — those are operational, not analytical.
Your rights
Regardless of jurisdiction, Orange County Design treats data minimization as the default: only collect what's needed to do the work, only keep it as long as needed. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of any data Orange County Design holds about you, email hello@orangecounty.design. Requests are honored within 30 days.
If you're in California, this includes rights under the CCPA. If you're in the EU or UK, this includes rights under GDPR. Same data-minimization stance applies regardless.
Third parties
This site uses Cloudflare for DNS, CDN, and DDoS protection. It uses self-hosted infrastructure for the application layer. It does not use any other third-party service that receives visitor data.
External links from this site — Wikipedia, IETF, vendor documentation, etc. — are governed by those sites' own privacy policies. Orange County Design chooses them for authority and does not control how they treat traffic.
Changes
This policy may evolve as the business does. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be noted in a banner on the site for at least 30 days.
